  1. QUELLE EST LA DATE LIMITE POUR RENDRE SON FILM POUR LE 15/15 2008?
    La date limite pour les films est le samedi 8 Mars 200887 à 23H.
  2. QUAND A LIEU LE 15/15?
    Le 15/15 a traditionnellement lieu à la mi-mars. En 2008, le festival se déroulera le samedi 8 mars.
  3. QUELS SONT L'OBJET ET LA CITATION SECRETS POUR 2007 ?
    L'Objet et la Citation secrets sont justement cela: un secret ! Ils ne seront annoncés que le Jour du Tournage à 8h; et l'objet doit apparaître dans 80% des plans. Cela prouve que tous les films reçus ont été réalisés le jour du tournage. Nous vous encourageons fortement à une libre imagination!
  4. POURQUOI MON FILM DOIT-IL INCORPORER L'OBJET ET LA CITATION SECRETS ET COMMENT PUIS-JE LES UTILISER ?
    L'objet secret et la citation prouvent que votre film a été spécialement réalisé pour le festival. En effet, un des but du 15/15 est d'encourager à la production et non pas seulement à la diffusion. N'essayez pas de juste incorporer l'objet en arrière plan à chaque fois - les incorporer comme partie intégrante de l'histoire augmentera vos chances de gagner.

    Oui - il n'y a pas de restriction sur le nombre de participations.

    Oui. Nous sommes véritablement un festival de films international, acceptant, récompensant et projetant les films dans leur pays d'origine.

  12. Y A T'IL D'AUTRES RESTRICTIONS ?
    Vous devez présenter votre film pour la première fois au 15/15; c'est-à-dire que le film ne doit pas avoir été projeté ni dans un autre festival de films, ni à la télévision, ni sur Internet, ni dans un cinéma ou autre diffusion publique. Cette restriction n'inclut pas les projections à l'équipe du film.
  13. PUIS-JE RE-MONTER UN FILM QUI A DEJA ETE PROJETE DE MANIERE A REPONDRE AUX CONTRAINTES DU 15/15?
    NON ! Nous considérons ceci comme étant une version différente d'un même film, donc s'il a été projeté précédemment, ce film n'est pas éligible pour 15/15.
  14. EN QUEL FORMAT DOIS-JE TOURNER ?
    Vous pouvez tourner en : Mini-DV et DVD
  15. QUEL FORMAT ACCEPTEZ-VOUS POUR La PARTICIPATION ?
    Vous devez remettre 1 x MiniDV pour la projection. Dans quelques cas d'urgence nous pouvons accepter des films sous autres formats, tant que vous soumettez une copie MiniDV identique peu après. Nous vous recommandons de bien vérifier votre cassette avant de la soumettre. De plus amples informations sur les formats de DVD peuvent être trouvées à http://www.dvdrw.com/information/cetips1.htm
  16. Y A T'IL DES LIMITATIONS CONCERNANT UN CONTENU SEXUEL/VIOLENT ?
    LE 15/15 reçoit une classification M 15 + (Interdiction aux moins de 15 ans) du Bureau australien de Classification de Film et Littérature, nous vous conseillons donc de suivre ces indications. Pour un récapitulatif complet des indications cliquez sur le lien suivant http://www.oflc.gov.au. En cas de doute, commandez un DVD des éditions précédentes du 15/15 festival sur le magasin du 15/15 the 15/15 shop et utilisez les films passés comme référence.
  17. L'INSCRIPTION EST-ELLE PAYANTE ?
    Non, nous ne pensons pas qu'il soit juste de faire payer nos participants pour soumettre leur dur travail au festival.
  18. DOIS-JE OBTENIR LES DROITS DE COPYRIGHT POUR LA MUSIQUE ?
    OUI ! Le cinéaste doit posséder tout copyright ou doit avoir la permission écrite d'utiliser la musique, le jeu d'acteur et le scénario. Si vous souhaitez de plus amples conseils sur la musique, le jeu d'acteur ou le scénario, consultez votre coordinateur local via la page de contacts du site Internet, ou en envoyant un e-mail à web site contact page, ou par mail à mail@filmfestival15.com
  19. PUIS-JE UTILISER TOUT MORCEAU DE MUSIQUE TANT QUE J'EN AI LA PERMISSION ?
    Vous pouvez utiliser la plupart des morceaux de musique dont vous avez reçu les permissions nécessaires. La musique renommée peut devenir très chère à utiliser. Vous aurez besoin d'obtenir des droits pour utiliser le morceau de musique pour " tout media " et " tous territoires " (voir 15/15 ENTRY GUIDELINES). Le 15/15 peut diffuser des films du festival de même que servir de Distributeur pour le finaliste et les films sélectionnés après le festival. Vous devez avoir déclaré toutes musiques afin de participer à telles activités. Il est important de noter que vous ne demandez pas juste un droit d'utilisation de la musique pour le festival mais aussi pour une éventuelle projection après le festival. AMCOS administre les droits pour les bibliothèques de musique et ils ont un taux spécial pour la musique utilisée lors d'un festival. Cependant, ceci ne s'applique pas au 15/15 films car le festival s'est tellement développé que la demande pour les films s'étend au delà de la nuit du festival. Essayez d'utiliser une musique locale ou originale dans votre film. Cela signifie que les musiciens et les compositeurs locaux peuvent profiter du 15/15, de même que toute autre personne, et c'est plus facile à organiser. Ne limitez pas la vie de votre film en faisant des choix de musique hâtifs ou en laissant ce choix au dernier instant. La musique doit être une des première chose que vous considérez en planifiant votre production. Contactez-nous pour de plus amples informations.
  20. COMMENT SERONT UTILISES LES EXTRAITS DE FILM?
    Des extraits du film pourront être utilisés pour la publicité du festival.
  21. SOUS QUEL FORMAT MON FILM SERA-T-Il PROJETE ?
    15/15 projette tous les films en 4:3. Donc, si vous tournez votre film en 16:9 vous devrez l'avoir letterboxed ou centrecut.
  22. QUE SE PASSE T'IL SI MON FILM CONTIENT DES SOUS-TITRES ?
    Ce n'est pas un problème et dans certains cas nous exigerons un manuscrit de dialogues pour le sous-titrer. N'oubliez pas que votre film sera projeté dans plusieurs pays, et dans de grandes salles pouvant accueillir un large public qui ne sera pas forcément proche de l'écran. Vous devez doubler la taille des sous-titres et éviter les ombres jaunes. Blanc sur noir est le mieux au niveau de la visibilité.

Les inscriptions pour le Jour du Tournage ouvrent le 19 Janvier, 2007 et s'arrètent le lundi 5 Mars à 23h. Pour vous inscrire avec succès, vous aurez besoin de :

  • Lire et accepter les conditions d'entrée.
  • Vous inscrire en ligne, ou télécharger une fiche d'inscription devant nous être postée. Votre coordinateur régional confirmera votre inscription par e-mail.
  • Imprimez et signez une copie de la fiche de diffusion pour le festival et envoyez-la nous. Si nous ne la recevons pas, nous ne pourrons pas enregistrer votre inscription.
  • Lire les autres documents utiles, tels que les conseils de tournage, les notes d'atelier et les suggestions des vainqueurs précédents.
  • Facultatif - Assister à une Séance d'Informations ou à un Atelier près de chez vous. Vérifiez la liste des dates et lieux.
  • UNE FOIS votre participation confirmée, vous devez vous inscrire au site et garder le profil de votre film aussi complet et précis que possible.

Après cela, c'est à vous de jouer! Assurez-vous de nous faire parvenir votre film à 23h le 8 mars 2008. Nous mettrons les réalisateurs au courant de l'avancée du jury, ensuite il sera temps de voir votre film sur grand écran !

Atelier

To encourage emerging filmmakers, the 15/15 Film Festival provides workshops and information sessions in numerous destinations. These sessions will provide one-on-one advice and presentations on topics ranging from technical to administration issues:

  • How to find and manage a crew for your film
  • Developing a story
  • Using the object and quote creatively
  • Camera & lighting tips
  • Legal requirements
  • Editing under pressure

Handouts are provided, but we also recommend you bring a pen and paper.

Workshops are OPTIONAL, but highly recommended for people participating for the first time, or others wanting to improve their filmmaking skills.

Les Conditions

Please read the following conditions carefully as participating in the festival acknowledges your agreement:

  1. By completing this Registration Form and submitting it, with the Producer’s film ( Film ), to 15/15 via your regional coordinator ( 15/15 ) by no later than 11pm on Filming Day, the Producer has applied to enter the Film in the 15/15 Film Festival ( Festival ) and related competitions and accepts that these Conditions of Entry create a binding agreement between 15/15 and the Producer.
  2. 15/15 may, in its absolute discretion, and without giving reasons, nominate the film for an award ( Nominated ), judge it to be a winning entry as awarded at the Gala Night ( Awarded ) or screen the film at one of the international destinations ( Screened ). Any prizes awarded are not transferable, replaceable or redeemable.
  3. The Producer makes the following guarantees to 15/15:
    1. the Film was made by the Producer specifically for the Festival;
    2. the Film complies with these Conditions of Entry;
    3. the Film has not been, and will not be prior to the Festival, available to be viewed by the public by any means, including by way of the internet;
    4. the rights (including the intellectual property rights) in the Film have not been, and will not be prior to the Festival, assigned or licensed to any party other than 15/15;
    5. the Producer is entitled to reproduce and exploit all of the underlying works in the Film by including these in the Film;
    6. without limiting clause 4(e), the Producer is the owner, or has permission from the owner, of the copyright in the sound recordings comprising the soundtrack to the Film and the music and lyrics reproduced in those sound recordings;
    7. all the performers in the Film have consented in writing to the use of their performances in the Film;
    8. the Producer has obtained from each contributor to the Film including the performers (Contributors) a written consent to their work being edited, altered and/or reproduced, in any manner or context, by the Producer, and any person authorised by the Producer to do so (including 15/15), and such consents have been obtained to the full extent permitted under the Copyright Act, 1968 (Moral Rights Consents);
    9. the Producer has obtained from each Contributor to the Film authorisation for 15/15 to use the Contributor’s name and likeness in connection with any publicity for the Festival and related competitions, and an undertaking that the Contributor will perform publicity appearances for the Festival and related competitions if reasonably requested by the Producer or 15/15;
    10. the Producer is entitled to grant to 15/15 permission to make use of each and every right referred to in clause 3 and the use or exploitation of the Film as contemplated by these Conditions of Entry will not violate the rights (including copyright) of any third party;
    11. all details in the Entry Form are true and correct, and the Producer indemnifies 15/15 against any and all claims and demands made against 15/15 in relation to the guarantees provided by the Producer in this clause 3 of these Conditions of Entry.
  4. Subject to clause 3, in consideration of 15/15 reviewing the Film for the purpose of the Film being Nominated, Awarded or Screened, the Producer grants an exclusive licence throughout the world in perpetuity to 15/15 (whether or not the Film is Nominated, Screened or Awarded) to do any and all of the acts now or subsequently comprising the copyright in the Film, including:
    1. all such acts in connection with any film festival conducted or participated in by 15/15;
    2. to include or embody the Film or any part of the Film in another film produced by 15/15 (or an assignee or licensee of 15/15) and in respect of which 15/15 (or its assignee or licensee) will own or be the licensee of any or all rights, being:
      1. a collection or compilation of films seen in public at any film festival conducted or participated in by 15/15; or
      2. a film comprising films, or parts of films, seen in public at any such film festival;
    3. to communicate the Film to the public by any media now existing or subsequently devised and by any means (including the Internet, commercial television, cable, satellite); and
    4. without limiting the generality of clause 4(c) above, to communicate the Film to the public by any means at, from or otherwise in connection with any film festival conducted by or participated in by 15/15.
  5. A Producer of a Film which is Nominated, Awarded or Screened may write to 15/15 after 1 July in the year after the year they submitted their film to request the termination of the exclusive licence granted to 15/15 under clause 4. If 15/15 reasonably considers, having regard to any arrangements or agreements that it has or may have with other parties in relation to the Film, that it no longer requires the exclusive licence granted under clause 4, it will terminate the exclusive licence and notify the Producer in writing, after which time neither 15/15 nor any assignee or licensee of 15/15 will have any rights, including copyright, in the Film. If 15/15 is not able to do so, it will not be in breach of the agreement created by these Conditions of Entry, and the exclusive licence will continue. 15/15 may also, at any time at its discretion, terminate the exclusive licence granted under clause 4 on giving written notice to the Producer. If the exclusive licence granted to 15/15 is terminated in accordance with this clause 5, 15/15 will make the Film available for collection by the Producer for a period of 30 days following 15/15’s notification of termination of the exclusive licence, after which time the Film may be disposed of by 15/15.
  6. Notwithstanding anything contained in these Conditions of Entry, the Producer must not grant any rights in the Film to any person:
    1. prior to the Festival; or
    2. where the grant of such rights would put 15/15 in breach of any agreement or arrangement made known to the Producer by 15/15 or of which the Producer ought to be aware.
  7. The producer acknowledges:
    1. that some 15/15 assignees or licensees may need to edit, alter or reproduce the Film and the Producer consents to these actions by 15/15 or any assignees or licensees of 15/15, in any manner or context, in perpetuity throughout the world. Such consent is given to the full extent permitted under the Copyright Act, 1968.
    2. that 15/15 is authorised to do any and all acts comprised in the Moral Rights Consents.
  8. The Producer authorises 15/15 to use the Producer’s name and likeness in connection with any publicity for the Festival and related competitions, and the Producer agrees to undertake publicity appearances for the Festival and related competitions as reasonably requested by 15/15.
  9. The agreement created by this Entry Form is made in Victoria, Australia, and is governed by the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. The Producer will do such acts and sign, or cause to be signed, such instruments as 15/15 may reasonably request for the purposes of this agreement. 15/15 may assign or license its interest under this agreement. The Producer must not assign or license its interest under this agreement. Where any party comprises more than one person, a reference to that party includes each such person severally and all such persons jointly. A reference to a person includes a body corporate. The singular includes the plural and vice versa. Includes and including are not words of limitation. The words and expressions used in this agreement have the meanings given to them in the Copyright Act, 1968 unless expressly stated to the contrary in this agreement. A reference to a “film” is a reference to a “cinematograph film”. In the case of any inconsistency between the provisions of these Conditions of Entry and any other language contained in this document, the provisions of these Conditions of Entry prevail.

Dear Filmmaker,

The primary aim of 15/15 is to encourage short film production. All films entered must feature the 15/15 Object & Quote contained in your Quickies Kits to show the film was made specifically for 15/15. You are encouraged to present the Object & Quote in any way you choose.

15/15 also aims to provide you with the opportunity to showcase your work to as wide an audience as possible, not only with the fantastic premiere your film will receive if it wins in 2007, but also by screening your film to audiences around the world. To help you on the way to making your short film, 15/15 maintains year round operations to support you in your filmmaking endeavours.
